Description
Soar over a dazzling icy show during this 35 minute scenic flight. You'll be lifted up above the Franz Josef Glacier and either the Fox or Tasman Glaciers, flying among shimmering toothy mountains and majestic rivers of ice flowing through the rainforests. Continue gliding through the sky, witnessing New Zealand's stunning Southern Alps, Mount Cook and Mount Tasman before experiencing a magical 10 minute snow landing (if the weather permits). There will be ample time to take photos and soak in this snowy paradise which is a largely inaccessible alpine region.

This experience takes place in Franz Josef.
How to Get There
The meeting point for this experience is 10 Main Road, Franz Josef, located at the South end of town, opposite the Police Station (look for the blue flags).
Session Length
This flight is 35 minutes in duration. Please allow additional time for check in, transport to and from the heli-pad and loading.

Cancellation Policy
Once this experience has been confirmed, changes are at the discretion of the experience provider and arranged directly with them according to this policy:
A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for cancellations
Rescheduling
A minimum of 12 hours notice.
Participant Changes
Free of charge.
Numbers on the day
Minimum of three and a maximum of six participants in the larger helicopter.
Spectators
Please contact the provider if you have people wanting to watch the helicopter take off, this can often be arranged.

Weather
This is a weather dependent activity. In the event your flight is cancelled, you will be rescheduled.
Dress Code
Please bring a light jacket, sunglasses, camera and sturdy shoes you don't mind getting a bit wet if there is fresh snow.
Accessibility
No wheel chair access. If you have limited mobility there are steps at the heli-pad to help you into the machine. You do not have to get out on the snow landing if you think it will be too difficult to get back in.
